PEPPINO D’ANGELO – being a judge

For an athlete participating in a World Championship or even an Olympics is the pinnacle of personal and sporting ambitions: totally similar aspirations and feelings animate a canoe slalom judge and the feelings are the same. Witness to this is Peppino D’Angelo, judge in international competitions since 1990.
The responsibility of a judge is very high and his role very delicate, because he must not make mistakes in assigning penalties. For Ivrea 2024 the International Federation has appointed 15 judges, who come from all over the world, all with vast international experience. Twelve will be on the gates assigning penalties and three will be in the video room checking that these penalties are correct.
Enrica Berlingeri, from Savona, will also be present from Italy, who has already participated in two Olympics and numerous international competitions.
